IMO 2023: WHO IS AFRAID OF OGUNEWE?

Imo 2023 – ”It has been said that Major General Lincoln Keonyemere Jack Ogunewe (rtd) probably lost the opportunity to be made Chief of Army staff of the Nigerian Army and even Chief of Defense Staff because of his perceived deep love for Igbos, starting from his father Colonel David Ogunewe (rtd) who was the Military Adviser to Dim Emeka Ojukwu during the Civil war.”

As the countdown to Labour Party (LP) April 2023 governorship primaries begin, expect sponsored attacks in the media against leading Labour Party (LP) governorship aspirant Major General Lincoln Keonyemere Jack Ogunewe (rtd).

These attacks would be coming mainly from two quarters. One would be coming from the occupant of ”Douglas House.” 

The other attacks would be coming from those 8 ”fake governorship aspirants” identified by Imo state people as being sponsored by ”Douglas House” to neutralise LP’s chances at the November 2023 governorship election. 

The fear of Ogunewe has become synonymous with wisdom in Imo state politics. Papa, Mama And Pikin; everybody is talking about Ogunewe as who Ndi Imo need at this moment

Part of their strategy is to ”clone the name” of Dr Chigozie Oparanozie and other ”Obidients” who have through series of their articles been exposing the evil machinations of the 8 ‘fake governoship aspirants in LP and their sponsors.”

On the Politics in IMO

Lets return to ”Douglas House. Pray, why should someone who said that he won 27 House of Assembly seats in Imo State be afraid of Ogunewe? Except the victory was a fluke and he is now afraid of facing the man that has the capacity to defend his LP votes, his lies would now come to the open to be exposed.

Just like the enemies of Peter Obi looked for any dirt to throw at him and they couldn’t find any, Ogunewe’s enemies in ”Douglas House” and it’s puppets are looking for dirt to throw at him. His local opponents in his home area are also disturbed by his rising profile.

But lmo state people are too smart to be deceived by political fraudsters who have nothing to offer the people of Imo state over many years. I am talking about political contractors whose stock in trade is to rip off the people of Imo State after every election circle.

Can you imagine any sane person accusing Ogunewe of being the one that planned ”Operation Python dance?” These people at ”Douglas House” have indeed become desperate. Very soon they would tell Ndi Imo that a pregnant man delivered a baby at Government House Clinic in Owerri.

For the records, it is common knowledge known to anybody who went to school that the army, the police or any other security formation has different units performing specific functions. By the time this operation was planned and executed, Ogunewe had no hand in it as he was neither in army operations nor any formation where even his advice could be sought on the matter. 

On peddling Allegations

The peddlers of this childish allegation deserve some pity. 

I had a good laugh when l heard the funny allegation.

 Is it the same Ogunewe that many believe was denied being made Chief of Army staff or Chief of Defence Staff because he was accused of being sympathetic to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that someone is accusing now of planning ”Operation Python Dance.” 

Why can’t they say that Ogunewe is a Super Eagles player. No. A lie is a lie no matter how well it is painted. To say that Ogunewe had a hand in the operation is like saying that a man built a house at the centre of the Atlantic ocean. Chai! 

Anyway, what do you expect ”Douglas House” that has nothing to show to the people of Imo state to say?Even the puppets of Douglas House are bereft of ideas in packaging their lies. Even those politicians Ogunewe has dislodged in his area are all part of these fabrications. 

Why is it that nobody in the entire army whether serving or retired was brought to confirm these basesless and unfounded allegations?

Anyway, l was very happy when l heard the allegation against Ogunewe. It means that ”Douglas House”’ is now in a panic mode. It means that the love that Imo state people have been expressing towards Ogunewe in becoming the next governor of Imo State is causing sleepless nights for ”Douglas House,” including all its puppets and all the ”fake governorship aspirants in LP. ” 

On Election Rigging and the Victory in Abia

Finally, ”Douglas House,” you have your ”Omuma Magic rigging formula.” You have ”won a landslide” victory in the recently concluded House of Assembly election. Why are you then planting men of yesterday with dirty political baggages, and one politically expired female politician who are not ”Obidient,” in LP just to stop one man Ogunewe? Why?

It is important that Imo state LP stakeholders and the national leadership of LP remain vigilant in the coming days over these spurious allegations against Ogunewe.

Just like Alex Otti of LP has flushed out all those that held Abia state in bondage since 1999, Ogunewe if given the LP governorship ticket would flush out the All Progressives Congress (APC) henchman at ”Douglas House” and all his puppets who have held Imo state down for decades. He has started by dislodging the man in an opposing party who claims to be an overlord in his zone. He would finish it up with a ballot revolution in November 2023 if given the LP ticket.
